College Track Prince George’s County, MD

At the Durant Center, a team that's grown right alongside its scholars is turning first-generation dreams into four-year college acceptances, year after year.

Where Big Dreams Get Built

Just 15 miles outside Washington, D.C., Prince George’s County is Maryland’s second-most populous county and home to one of the nation’s 25 largest school districts. It’s here, since 2019, that College Track’s Durant Center has grown into a cornerstone of opportunity — launched through a founding partnership with the Kevin Durant Charitable Foundation.

Today, it’s one of the network’s most established sites — serving over 200 high school scholars every year from partner schools including Suitland, Potomac, and Charles Herbert Flowers High Schools.

Behind that impact is a team of dedicated staff, many of whom have grown alongside the program itself, bringing deep experience and continuity to every scholar’s journey.

The scholars at the Durant Center represent exactly who College Track was built to serve: 89% are first-generation college students, and 86% come from under-resourced backgrounds. And the results speak for themselves — a four-year college acceptance rate above 96%, backed by strong matriculation and persistence outcomes.

This is what investment in potential looks like.
